 Dr. Joseph Aoun

Dr. Aoun is a Jamhour Alum (class 1970) and is the President of Northeastern University. He received his PhD in linguistics and philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981; his Diploma of Advanced Studies in General and Theoretical Linguistics from the University of Paris (France) VIII in 1977; and his Masters in Oriental Languages and Literature from Saint Joseph University (Beirut, Lebanon) in 1975(Click here for a complete bio of President Aoun).

The first reunion of Jamhour Alumni US Inc. was held on Saturday October 2nd, 2004 in New York City at the Park Lane Helmsley Hotel. There was a total of 97 attendees including special guests: Père Jean Dalmais, HE Me Michel Eddé, Former Minister and Président of «L’Amicale Notre Dame de Jamhour», HE Ambassador Vincent Battle and Nagy Khoury Secrétaire General of «l’Amicale des Ancients de Jamhour» and Chair of the Federation of the Alumni of the Catholic Schools in Lebanon..

The first large gathering of Alumni of «Collège Notre Dame de Jamhour» took place on Octobre 4th  2003 in New York, in the presence of M.Michel Edde, Former Minister and President of «L’Amicale», Père Salim Daccache Recteur du Collège and M.
